Understand Jade Vista
Useful when…
- An elemental damage build that can benefit from the party-dependent EM or ATK
- A party setup with up to three other members contributing passive stacks
- A bow wielder who values its CRIT Rate secondary stat
How does the passive count party members?
For each party member other than the wielder, Jade Vista grants one of two effects: 64 Elemental Mastery if that member shares the wielder’s Elemental Type, or 12% ATK if they do not. The effects can stack up to three times in total, with Elemental Mastery buffs applied first. This means the party’s elemental mix determines which stats are granted; it does not grant both effects for the same teammate. Refinement 5 raises the matching-element bonus to 128 Elemental Mastery and the different-element bonus to 24% ATK, still with a three-stack total.
When is it useful?
The weapon’s value depends on both the wielder’s needs and the party’s elemental composition. A wielder who values Elemental Mastery can benefit from matching-element members; one whose damage scales with ATK may prefer different-element members. The Bow also has CRIT Rate as its secondary stat. Alley Hunter has ATK as its secondary stat and gains damage while its wielder remains off-field, with that bonus falling after the wielder stays on-field for more than 4 seconds. Amos’ Bow instead emphasizes Normal and Charged Attack damage, with an additional increase based on arrow flight time. These alternatives support different attack patterns and conditions.
What should you invest in?
Ascension improves the weapon’s base stats. Refinement increases the per-member EM or ATK granted, but still caps the total at three stacks; refine when the increased values serve the wielder’s build enough to justify consuming another copy. The supplied ascension examples list costs at stages 0–1, 3–4, and 5–6, while the refinement examples require a Jade Vista copy and Mora.
What can reduce its value?
The passive counts only three stacks, so a fourth other party member does not add another stack. A party change can also change which stat each teammate contributes. Do not treat the EM and ATK bonuses as freely selectable: each member’s elemental match determines their contribution. Aqua Simulacra’s nearby-opponent condition and off-field damage effect is a different damage-focused passive, not a party-element substitute for Jade Vista.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The useful stat depends on elemental matches with the other party members.
- The three-stack limit means not every party member contributes.
- Refinement raises per-stack values but requires another copy.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting more than three passive stacks.
- Assuming one party member grants both EM and ATK.
- Forgetting that changing a party member can change the stat granted.
