Lumidouce Elegy

Reaction-oriented polearm damage weapon

Released Aug 6, 2024

Lumidouce Elegy is a 5-star polearm with CRIT Rate and ATK. Its passive rewards triggering Burning or dealing Dendro damage to Burning opponents, granting a timed damage bonus that can restore Energy when its two stacks are reached or refreshed. Consider it for a wielder who can meet those Burning conditions reliably.

Understand Lumidouce Elegy

Useful when…

  • Use on a polearm wielder whose damage can trigger Burning or hit Burning opponents with Dendro damage.
  • Consider it when the character can build and refresh its two stacks, including while off-field.

Effects and conditions

At refinement 1, the weapon gives 15% ATK. Triggering Burning, or dealing Dendro DMG to an opponent affected by Burning, grants an 18% DMG increase for eight seconds, up to two stacks. Reaching two stacks or refreshing the duration while already at two stacks restores 12 Energy, limited to once every 12 seconds. Both the damage and Energy effects can trigger while the wielder is off-field. At refinement 5, the listed values become 31% ATK, 38% DMG per stack, and 16 Energy.

Practical fit and alternatives

The passive is conditional: it needs Burning to be triggered by the wielder or an opponent already affected by Burning to receive Dendro DMG from the wielder. The Catch offers Energy Recharge and a Burst DMG/CRIT Rate bonus, which can fit a Burst-focused build without the Burning condition. Ballad of the Fjords offers CRIT Rate and Elemental Mastery when the party has at least three different Elemental Types, a separate party condition from this weapon's reaction requirement.

Improvement priorities

Weapon ascension spans six stages, with selected transition costs listed in the weapon's materials. Refinement consumes another copy and Mora; it raises the ATK stat bonus, damage per stack, and Energy restored. Since the passive's two-stack condition remains essential at every rank, refine when the character can reliably meet it and the stronger bonuses are worth the copy.

Common mistakes

Do not treat the damage increase as unconditional or count it as two stacks after only one qualifying trigger. The second trigger is also what opens the Energy restoration condition. Off-field activation is supported, but it still requires the wielder to cause the specified Burning interaction or Dendro hit.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • The signature damage and Energy effects require Burning-related triggers.
  • It has no stated Energy Recharge secondary stat.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming every Dendro hit activates the passive regardless of the opponent's Burning status.
  • Expecting the Energy restoration before reaching or refreshing two stacks.
