Understand Primordial Jade Winged-Spear
Useful when…
- Build ATK through repeated hits and gain the maximum-stack damage bonus.
- Use its CRIT Rate secondary stat on a damage-focused polearm wielder.
Stacking effect
At Rank 1, a hit increases ATK by 3.2% for six seconds, up to seven stacks. The effect can occur once every 0.3 seconds. While at the maximum possible stack count, damage dealt increases by 12%. At Rank 5, each stack gives 6% ATK and the maximum-stack damage bonus is 24%. Its listed base ATK is 47.537, and its secondary stat is CRIT Rate.
Practical handling
The effect is built by landing hits, with a 0.3-second trigger interval and six-second stack duration. The additional damage bonus applies only while maximum stacks are held. The wielder therefore needs to build seven stacks and continue hitting often enough to keep them from expiring; the weapon does not grant its full listed stack effects merely from being equipped.
Progression and refinement
Ascension advances from stage 0 to 6; supplied costs cover stages 0→1, 3→4, and 5→6. Refinement raises ATK gained per hit and the damage bonus at maximum stacks. At Rank 5 those values are 6% ATK per stack and 24% damage at maximum stacks. Refinement consumes duplicate copies, so weigh that cost against a larger payoff that still requires the same hit-built stack condition.
Alternatives and limits
The Catch increases Elemental Burst DMG and Burst CRIT Rate, making its listed effects specific to Burst damage rather than Jade Winged-Spear’s hit-built ATK stacks. Ballad of the Fjords grants Elemental Mastery only when the party has at least three different Elemental Types. Beginner’s Protector has no listed secondary stat or passive. Each is a distinct option; the party-type condition or Burst focus may matter more than stack-building for a particular wielder.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The maximum-stack damage bonus requires seven hit-built stacks.
- Stacks last six seconds and have a 0.3-second trigger interval.
- Refinement consumes duplicate copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the maximum-stack damage bonus before reaching seven stacks.
- Allowing the six-second stacks to expire and assuming the full effect remains.
- Confusing its hit-built effects with The Catch’s Burst-specific bonuses.
