Understand Rainbow Serpent's Rain Bow
Useful when…
- An off-field bow wielder whose attacks hit opponents while the character is off field.
- A wielder who benefits from ATK and values Energy Recharge.
Trigger and duration
At R1, the wielder gains 28% ATK for 8 seconds after their attacks hit an opponent while they are off field. At R5, the bonus is 56%. The weapon's secondary stat is Energy Recharge.
How it differs from other bows
The passive requires an attack hit while the wielder is off field. Alley Hunter instead builds a general DMG increase while its wielder is off field and loses that bonus after the wielder has spent more than 4 seconds on field. Amos' Bow increases Normal and Charged Attack DMG, with an additional increase based on arrow time in flight. Aqua Simulacra grants DMG when opponents are nearby, whether its wielder is on or off field. These passives have distinct conditions.
Ascension and refinement
Weapon ascension advances through stages 0–6. Refinement raises the ATK bonus from 28% at R1 to 56% at R5. The listed refinement transitions use a Refined Heart and Mora.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The ATK bonus requires the wielder's attack to hit an opponent while the wielder is off field.
- Energy Recharge may not match every wielder's needs.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming being off field alone triggers the effect.
- Treating the passive as an on-field ATK bonus.
