Understand Recurve Bow
Useful when…
- A bow wielder who values HP and can benefit from healing after defeating an opponent.
- Combat against multiple opponents where defeat triggers may occur during the encounter.
HP and healing effect
Recurve Bow has HP as its secondary stat. Defeating an opponent restores 8% HP at R1, increasing to 16% at R5. The stated trigger is a defeat; an attack hit without defeating an opponent does not meet that condition.
When it helps
Consider Recurve Bow when its HP stat and defeat-triggered recovery support the wielder’s survival, particularly where opponents can be defeated during combat. The effect depends on securing defeats, so it may offer little recovery against a single durable opponent if no defeat occurs during the fight.
Investment and comparisons
Ascension advances the bow through stages 0–6. Refinement increases healing per defeat from 8% to 16% and uses another copy plus Mora. Alley Hunter, Amos' Bow, and Aqua Simulacra are damage-oriented comparisons with ATK or CRIT DMG stats and conditional damage effects. Their listed effects do not provide Recurve Bow’s defeat-triggered healing, so they answer different needs rather than serving as direct survival replacements.
Practical limitation
Do not count on the passive to heal before an opponent is defeated. Its trigger is the defeat itself, so it cannot replace a dependable source of recovery in situations where no opponent can be defeated soon.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The healing is conditional on defeating an opponent.
- Its HP secondary stat and survival effect do not directly establish an offensive role.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting healing from hits that do not defeat an opponent.
- Relying on its passive recovery when a fight may not provide defeat triggers.
