Understand Sacrificer's Staff
Useful when…
- Consider it for a polearm wielder whose Elemental Skill hits opponents, including through off-field Skill hits.
- Account for the six-second duration and three-stack cap when considering its effect.
Skill-hit effect
For six seconds after an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the wielder gains ATK and Energy Recharge. At R1, each stack provides 8% ATK and 6% Energy Recharge; at R5, each gives 16% ATK and 12% Energy Recharge. The effect stacks up to three times and can trigger while the character is off-field. The stated trigger is a Skill hit, not simply casting a Skill.
Weapon profile
Sacrificer's Staff has 45.0687 base ATK and CRIT Rate as its secondary stat. Its effect can suit a wielder whose Skill hits connect and who benefits from the temporary ATK and Energy Recharge bonuses. A Skill that does not hit an opponent does not meet the stated trigger condition.
Investment and alternatives
Ascension progresses through six stages. Refinement consumes duplicate copies and Mora; examples list 1,000 Mora for R1 to R2 and 8,000 Mora for R4 to R5. Refinement raises both per-stack bonuses but does not alter the six-second duration or three-stack cap. The Catch focuses on Elemental Burst DMG and Burst CRIT Rate. Ballad of the Fjords grants Elemental Mastery when the party has at least three different Elemental Types. These effects have different triggers and benefits.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The ATK and Energy Recharge bonuses require Elemental Skill hits and last six seconds.
- Refinement improves stack strength but does not change the duration or stack cap.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming merely casting an Elemental Skill grants a stack; the Skill must hit an opponent.
- Ignoring the six-second duration and three-stack maximum.
