Understand Sacrificial Bow
Useful when…
- Consider it for a bow user who values Energy Recharge and can benefit from another Elemental Skill use.
- Refinement is relevant when improving the reset chance and reducing its internal cooldown matters.
Reset trigger and odds
After an Elemental Skill damages an opponent, the Skill has a chance to end its own cooldown. The chance rises from 40% at R1 to 80% at R5. The effect can occur only once every 30 seconds at R1, with that restriction falling to 16 seconds at R5. It requires Skill damage; merely casting the Skill without damaging an opponent does not satisfy the stated trigger.
Use in combat
The weapon has 43.7349 base ATK and Energy Recharge as its secondary stat. It is worth considering when the wielder’s Skill hits and a cooldown reset would be useful. Because the reset is probabilistic and limited by the effect’s own cooldown, it should not be treated as a guaranteed second Skill use every time the wielder attacks.
Investment and alternatives
Weapon ascension spans six stages. Refinement consumes another Sacrificial Bow and Mora; the examples list 1,000 Mora for R1 to R2 and 8,000 for R4 to R5. Refinement increases the chance and shortens the effect’s cooldown restriction. Alley Hunter instead rewards off-field time and loses its bonus after more than four seconds on-field. Amos’ Bow boosts Normal and Charged Attacks, with a further bonus based on arrow flight time; Aqua Simulacra increases damage when opponents are nearby, including off-field. Those alternatives do not provide the same Skill cooldown reset, so assess the value of the reset separately from their damage effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The cooldown reset is chance-based and requires Skill damage against an opponent.
- An independent once-per-effect cooldown limits how often refinement can enable another reset.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting a reset when the Elemental Skill does not damage an opponent.
- Treating the listed chance as a guarantee or ignoring the separate 30-to-16-second cooldown restriction.
