Understand Sequence of Solitude
Useful when…
- A bow wielder who values HP and can make attacks regularly
- Adding periodic area damage around a struck target
How does the effect work?
When an attack hits an opponent, the weapon deals area damage at that target's location equal to 40% of the wielder's Max HP at R1. It can trigger once every 15 seconds. Its secondary stat is HP, so the weapon's listed offensive proc scales from the same stat.
When should you consider it?
It is most relevant when the wielder can use its HP stat and the periodic hit together. The effect says an attack can trigger it; it is not restricted to a named attack type. Do not expect it to provide continuous area damage, since the trigger interval is 15 seconds.
What does refinement improve?
Refinement raises the proc from 40% to 80% of Max HP across R1–R5. Ascension progresses through six stages. Refinement uses a Composite Bow Tuning Kit and Mora in the listed examples; consider the incremental proc increase against other weapon investments before spending refinement materials.
How does it compare with other bows?
Aqua Simulacra increases HP and grants conditional damage while opponents are nearby, even off-field, so its HP and damage benefits have different triggers from this bow's periodic area proc. Amos' Bow instead emphasizes Normal and Charged Attacks and arrow flight time. Neither comparison establishes an automatic upgrade for every wielder.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The area hit has a 15-second trigger interval.
- Its proc scales with Max HP, so its damage value depends on the wielder's HP.
- Refinement requires tuning materials.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading the proc as continuous area damage rather than one trigger per 15 seconds.
- Assuming the HP-based effect triggers without an attack hitting an opponent.
