Understand Song of Stillness
Useful when…
- Using an ATK bow when the wielder is healed often enough to benefit from its eight-second damage bonus.
- Supporting an off-field bow wielder when healing can trigger the passive.
What does healing activate?
After the wielder is healed, they deal 16% more damage for eight seconds at R1. At R5, the bonus is 32%, with the same duration. The effect can be triggered even when the character is not on the field. The description specifies healing the wielder; it does not state that healing any other party member activates it.
What builds can make use of it?
The ATK secondary stat gives a general ATK contribution, while the passive requires healing to reach its damage window. Off-field eligibility makes it usable for a bow wielder who is not active when healed. Alley Hunter builds damage while its wielder is off-field, then loses that bonus during extended on-field time. Amos' Bow emphasizes Normal and Charged Attack damage and arrow flight time. Aqua Simulacra's damage bonus requires opponents nearby and works on- or off-field. These alternatives rely on different conditions.
How should it be improved?
Ascension advances the bow through six stages. Refinement consumes another copy to increase the healing-triggered damage bonus from 16% to 32%; it does not lengthen the eight-second duration. Ascension improves the weapon's level, while refinement is more relevant when the wielder is healed often enough for the larger bonus to matter.
What is the key condition?
Without healing the wielder, the passive does not state that its damage bonus is active. Do not treat it as a permanent damage increase or assume healing another party member triggers it for the wielder.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The damage bonus depends on healing the wielder and lasts eight seconds.
- Refinement raises the bonus but does not extend its duration.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming healing any party member activates the wielder's passive.
- Treating the damage bonus as permanent or increasing its duration through refinement.
