Symphonist of Scents GUIDE
Understand Symphonist of Scents
Useful when…
- Use on a polearm wielder who can initiate healing, including while off-field.
- Consider it when the wielder or healed characters can use a short ATK increase.
Healing and off-field effects
At R1, the weapon increases ATK by 12%, with an additional 12% while its wielder is off-field. After initiating healing, the wielder and characters they healed gain Sweet Echoes, increasing their ATK by 32% for three seconds. Healing can trigger the effect even if the wielder is off-field. The healing trigger and three-second duration make the buff a brief window rather than a persistent increase.
Practical fit
Its CRIT DMG secondary stat and ATK effects reward an ATK-oriented wielder who can heal and make use of the brief buff. The Catch is a different polearm option with Energy Recharge and bonuses to Burst damage and Burst CRIT Rate; consider it where those Burst benefits matter more than healing-triggered ATK. Ballad of the Fjords instead gives EM only when the party has at least three different Elemental Types.
Investment
Ascension uses weapon materials and Mora. Refinement consumes another copy and Mora, raising the flat ATK increases and Sweet Echoes buff. Since refinement improves a brief conditional effect, weigh the copy cost against how consistently healing can trigger it and whether the recipient can use ATK.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Sweet Echoes lasts only three seconds and requires the wielder to initiate healing.
- The off-field ATK increase benefits the wielder, not the healed characters.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Sweet Echoes triggers merely because a character receives healing from another source.
- Treating the three-second healing buff as a long-duration party bonus.
