Understand Windblume Ode
Useful when…
- A bow wielder who uses an Elemental Skill before dealing ATK-scaling damage
- A build that can make use of the weapon's Elemental Mastery secondary stat
Effect and timing
Using an Elemental Skill grants ATK for 6 seconds: 16% at R1, rising to 32% at R5. The effect is a timed ATK increase after Skill use. The weapon also has Elemental Mastery as its secondary stat, but the listed passive itself does not scale from Elemental Mastery.
Practical fit and alternatives
Consider whether the wielder can use the six-second window for the attacks that benefit from ATK. Alley Hunter instead gains damage while its wielder is off-field and loses that bonus after extended field time. Amos' Bow boosts Normal and Charged Attack damage, with additional scaling based on arrow flight time; Aqua Simulacra grants damage when opponents are nearby and works on or off-field. Those conditions differ from Windblume Ode's Skill trigger.
Upgrading and limits
Ascension proceeds through six stages. Refinement consumes a copy of the weapon's special refinement material and Mora, improving the ATK percentage. The passive is brief, so using a Skill without making use of the ensuing window can waste much of its practical value.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The ATK buff lasts six seconds after Skill use.
- Its Elemental Mastery secondary stat does not increase the passive's stated percentage.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Elemental Mastery increases the passive's ATK percentage.
- Treating the effect as a permanent ATK increase.
