Understand Guinaifen
Useful when…
- Applying multi-turn Burn to a target and adjacent enemies with her Skill.
- Building Firekiss stacks from Burn damage to raise enemy damage taken.
- Using her Ultimate against Burned enemies to trigger extra Burn damage immediately.
How do Burn and Firekiss interact?
Blazing Welcome deals Fire damage to one target and adjacent enemies, with a base chance to Burn them for two turns. At the listed level-one values, Burn deals damage equal to 83.9% of Guinaifen’s ATK at the beginning of each turn. When a Burn status deals damage while she is on the field, her Talent has a base chance to apply Firekiss. Firekiss increases the damage an enemy receives by 4% per stack, lasts three turns, and stacks up to three times at the listed level-one parameters. The Ultimate deals Fire damage to all enemies and, for each target already Burned, immediately produces Burn damage equal to 72% of its original damage.
What is she useful for?
Her Skill is the key application tool: it reaches one enemy and adjacent targets, while her Ultimate is area damage and can advance damage from existing Burn. Her Technique attacks four times after entering battle, dealing Fire damage to random single enemies with a base chance to apply Firekiss on each hit. Her Basic ATK is single-target Fire damage. These pieces make her useful when Burn can be applied and allowed to tick, rather than when the target is defeated before those effects contribute.
What should be upgraded?
The Skill applies Burn and the Ultimate triggers extra Burn damage, while the Talent controls Firekiss’s damage-taken increase; these tracks align directly with her debuff and damage pattern. Fire damage bonus and Effect Hit Rate traces are listed among her bonus traces. Consider these upgrades when the Burn and Firekiss effects are being used; her Basic ATK trace is less central to that role.
What conditions can be missed?
The Ultimate’s extra Burn damage requires the target to be Burned when it hits. Firekiss is applied after Burn damage occurs, so it is not automatically established by the initial Skill hit. Its application is chance-based, and stacks expire after three turns. Her Technique’s four attacks choose random single targets rather than guaranteeing hits on a chosen enemy.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Her damage-taken debuff builds through Burn ticks and chance-based applications.
- The Ultimate’s extra Burn damage requires Burn to be active on each target.
- Technique attacks target random enemies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using the Ultimate before applying Burn and expecting the extra Burn damage.
- Expecting Firekiss to apply on the initial hit rather than after Burn deals damage.
- Assuming the Technique’s random attacks focus the enemy you selected.
