Understand Hanya

Useful when…

  • Recover Skill Points through repeated attacks against Burden.
  • Boost one ally's SPD and ATK for a short duration.
  • Increase damage dealt to the enemy currently marked Burden.

How Burden and the buffs work

Her Skill deals Physical damage and applies Burden to its target. Every two allied Basic ATKs, Skills, or Ultimates used against that enemy recover one Skill Point. Burden applies only to the most recently marked enemy and disappears after its recovery effect has triggered twice. Her Talent increases damage dealt to a Burdened target for two turns after an ally attacks it. Her Ultimate grants one ally SPD equal to 36% of Hanya's SPD and 15% ATK for two turns.

Using her support in combat

Apply Burden to an enemy that allies are likely to attack repeatedly; changing targets can move the mark and disrupt the Skill Point plan. Her Ultimate targets one ally, so direct it to the character whose turn frequency and ATK most benefit from both buffs. Her Technique applies Burden to a random enemy on entering battle, which may be less useful when a particular target matters.

Investment priorities and limits

For a support-focused build, prioritize the Skill and Ultimate because they establish the resource engine and ally buffs. Talent levels improve its damage bonus; Basic ATK is a lower priority if she attacks mainly to conserve Skill Points. Her kit's value depends on allies continuing to attack the marked target, and the Skill Point recovery is capped at two triggers per application.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Burden only follows the latest target and has limited recovery triggers.
  • Her Ultimate buffs one ally at a time.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Applying Burden to an enemy the party will stop attacking.
  • Expecting more than two Skill Point recovery triggers from one Burden application.
