Understand Dream's Montage
Useful when…
- An Abundance wearer whose turns benefit from increased SPD.
- A wearer who can attack Weakness Broken enemies to trigger Energy recovery.
What it does
At S1, increases the wearer's SPD by 8%. After the wearer attacks an enemy whose Weakness is Broken, it restores 3 Energy. This recovery can trigger up to twice per turn. At S5, those values rise to 12% SPD and 5 Energy per trigger; the trigger limit remains twice per turn.
When to use it
Its Energy effect is conditional on the target already being Weakness Broken when attacked. It is therefore most relevant when the wearer can regularly attack such targets; the Light Cone does not restore Energy simply for breaking an enemy. Cornucopia instead increases Outgoing Healing when the wearer uses Skill or Ultimate, while Fine Fruit restores Energy to all allies at battle start. These serve different conditions and are alternatives to consider only if their specific effects fit your needs.
Improvement priorities
Promotion raises the Light Cone's level through stages 0–6. Superimposition raises its rank from S1 to S5 using a sacrifice copy at each step; the listed effect values show the increases. Prioritize promotion if you want to improve the equipped Light Cone without consuming another copy. Consider superimposition when the extra SPD and Energy per trigger matter enough to spend duplicate copies.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Energy recovery requires an attack against a target that is already Weakness Broken.
- Superimposition consumes a duplicate copy for each rank increase.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the Energy effect to trigger when the wearer's attack causes the Weakness Break; the condition is that the target is Weakness Broken when attacked.
- Assuming the Energy recovery can trigger more than twice in one turn.
