I Venture Forth to Hunt GUIDE
Understand I Venture Forth to Hunt
Useful when…
- A Hunt wearer who launches follow-up attacks and deals Ultimate damage.
- A CRIT-focused build that can make use of the Light Cone’s CRIT Rate.
How does Luminflux build and expire?
At S1, the wearer gains 15% CRIT Rate. Launching a follow-up attack grants one Luminflux stack, up to 2. Each stack enables the wearer’s Ultimate damage to ignore 27% of the target’s DEF. When the wearer’s turn ends, one stack is removed. At S5, CRIT Rate rises to 25% and each stack enables 39% Ultimate DEF ignore; the two-stack cap and end-of-turn removal remain the same.
When is its timing useful?
The Light Cone’s DEF ignore is for the wearer’s Ultimate, and follow-up attacks create the stacks. The end-of-turn removal means a stack does not simply persist indefinitely, so whether the wearer can build stacks before using their Ultimate matters. Baptism of Pure Thought provides CRIT DMG and effects tied to debuffs and an Ultimate attack, while Adversarial gives SPD after the wearer defeats an enemy and Arrows gives CRIT Rate at battle start for 3 turns. These alternatives have different conditions; neither reproduces Luminflux’s follow-up-triggered Ultimate DEF ignore.
What does superimposition cost?
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages. Each superimposition step consumes one S1 copy and increases CRIT Rate and Ultimate DEF ignore per Luminflux stack. Consider promotion for level progression; extra copies are most relevant when the wearer reliably launches follow-up attacks and uses Ultimate damage while stacks are available.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Luminflux requires follow-up attacks and applies only to the wearer’s Ultimate damage.
- One stack is removed at the end of the wearer’s turn.
- Superimposition consumes additional copies.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Luminflux stacks persist unchanged through the wearer’s turn end.
- Applying its DEF ignore to follow-up attacks; the effect specifies Ultimate damage.
Effects and reference details
Intimidation · Superimposition
The passive activates only on a wearer following The Hunt. Each additional rank uses a duplicate or its designated special material.
S1 Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 15%. When the wearer launches a Follow-Up ATK, gains 1 stack of "Luminflux," stacking up to 2 time(s). Each stack of "Luminflux" enables the Ultimate DMG dealt by the wearer to ignore 27% of the target's DEF. When the wearer's turn ends, removes 1 stack of "Luminflux."
S2 Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 17.5%. When the wearer launches a Follow-Up ATK, gains 1 stack of "Luminflux," stacking up to 2 time(s). S4 Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 22.5%. When the wearer launches a Follow-Up ATK, gains 1 stack of "Luminflux," stacking up to 2 time(s). Each stack of "Luminflux" enables the Ultimate DMG dealt by the wearer to ignore 36% of the target's DEF. When the wearer's turn ends, removes 1 stack of "Luminflux."
S5 Increases the wearer's CRIT Rate by 25%. When the wearer launches a Follow-Up ATK, gains 1 stack of "Luminflux," stacking up to 2 time(s).
