Understand Reminiscence
Useful when…
- A Remembrance wearer whose memosprite takes multiple turns before disappearing.
- A build that values a damage increase for both wearer and memosprite.
How do Commemoration stacks work?
When the memosprite's turn starts, the wearer and memosprite each gain one Commemoration stack. Each stack increases damage dealt by 8% at S1 or 12% at S5, up to four stacks. When the memosprite disappears, Commemoration is removed from both wearer and memosprite. The buildup is therefore tied to memosprite turns and its continued presence.
Practical fit and alternatives
This Light Cone fits a wearer whose memosprite stays active long enough to gain stacks. Fly Into a Pink Tomorrow offers CRIT DMG and its additional team and Enhanced Basic ATK bonuses specifically when equipped by Trailblazer (Remembrance). Geniuses' Greetings boosts ATK and, after Ultimate, the wearer's and memosprite's Basic ATK damage for three turns. Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky has SPD and attack-triggered effects, including a stated cost to allies' current HP. These comparisons emphasize different character restrictions, trigger patterns, and tradeoffs.
Improving the effect
Promotion advances the Light Cone through six stages; the supplied examples list Credit and Remembrance materials at selected steps. Superimposition increases damage per stack from 8% to 12%, while the four-stack cap remains unchanged. Consider extra copies if the wearer can maintain the memosprite and accumulate stacks consistently; promotion can be considered for base stats.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Damage builds gradually with memosprite turns.
- Memosprite disappearance removes stacks from both wearer and memosprite.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting a stack before a memosprite turn starts.
- Assuming stacks persist after the memosprite disappears.
