To Evernight's Stars GUIDE
Understand To Evernight's Stars
Useful when…
- Improve damage from allied memosprites while the wearer has Noctis.
- Gain Energy when the wearer’s memosprite disappears.
Noctis and memosprite damage
When the wearer’s memosprite uses an ability, the wearer gains Noctis. While Noctis is active, all allied memosprites ignore 20% of target DEF at S1, increasing to 30% at S5. The wearer and their own memosprite also deal 30% more DMG at S1, or 60% at S5. The Light Cone additionally increases the wearer’s Max HP by 30% at S1, up to 60% at S5. Noctis is activated by a memosprite ability; the effect text gives no duration, so do not assume a specific turn count.
Disappearance and Energy
When the wearer’s memosprite disappears, the wearer recovers 8 Energy at S1, rising to 16 at S5. This is a separate trigger from gaining Noctis. Effects of the same type cannot stack, so a duplicate source of the same effect does not provide stacking benefits.
Investment and comparisons
Promotion advances the Cone’s level with Credits and listed materials; superimposition improves the effect values and consumes duplicate copies. Fly Into a Pink Tomorrow gives CRIT DMG, with additional ally DMG and a named Enhanced Basic ATK benefit specifically when equipped by Trailblazer (Remembrance). Geniuses’ Greetings increases ATK and, after Ultimate, boosts the wearer’s and memosprite’s Basic ATK DMG for 3 turns. Long May Rainbows Adorn the Sky instead adds Speed and a memosprite attack effect tied to HP consumed. These effects have different triggers and do not duplicate Noctis’s allied memosprite DEF ignore.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The DEF ignore for allied memosprites depends on the wearer’s memosprite using an ability to gain Noctis.
- The Energy return waits for the wearer’s memosprite to disappear.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming Noctis activates at the start of battle; its stated trigger is a memosprite ability.
- Confusing the wearer’s own damage increase with the DEF ignore, which applies to all ally memosprites while Noctis is active.
