Understand City of Converging Stars
Useful when…
- Use it when the wearer uses Follow-Up ATKs to trigger the temporary ATK increase.
- Consider the team CRIT DMG effect in encounters where enemies are defeated.
How do the two effects work?
When the wearer uses a Follow-Up ATK, their ATK increases by 24% for 2 turns. When an enemy is defeated, all allies gain 12% CRIT DMG for the current battle; this effect cannot stack. The ATK bonus and team CRIT DMG have separate triggers.
Who benefits from it?
A wearer who uses Follow-Up ATKs can activate the ATK increase. The CRIT DMG effect supports all allies after an enemy is defeated, but it does not stack if another activation occurs. Consider whether the wearer can use the first effect and whether the team values the second in the content being played.
How do the alternatives differ?
Sigonia, the Unclaimed Desolation adds CRIT Rate and builds the wearer's CRIT DMG with enemy defeats. Duran, Dynasty of Running Wolves increases the wearer's Follow-Up ATK damage as allies use Follow-Up ATKs and builds CRIT DMG at five Merit stacks. Amphoreus, The Eternal Land grants CRIT Rate and team SPD while the wearer's memosprite is on the field. These sets reward different combat triggers.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 24% ATK bonus requires the wearer to use a Follow-Up ATK and lasts 2 turns.
- The team CRIT DMG requires an enemy defeat and cannot stack.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the ATK increase as permanent rather than a 2-turn effect triggered by a Follow-Up ATK.
- Expecting multiple enemy defeats to stack the team CRIT DMG effect.
