Understand Self-Enshrouded Recluse
Useful when…
- A wearer who provides shields to allies that can benefit from CRIT DMG while holding those shields.
Piece bonuses and shield condition
Two pieces increase the Shield Effect provided by the wearer by 10%. Four pieces add a further 12% Shield Effect from the wearer. An ally gains 15% CRIT DMG while holding a shield provided by the wearer.
Who benefits
The CRIT DMG bonus applies to allies holding a shield provided by the wearer. If an ally is not holding that wearer's shield, the conditional bonus is not active. Dreamlit Actor instead increases a targeted ally's Elation when the wearer uses Skill or Ultimate on them, and can grant all allies CRIT DMG if the wearer has at least 10 Certified Banger. Wavestrider Captain gains stacks when another ally's ability targets the wearer, then can increase the wearer's ATK when they use Ultimate.
A different team damage condition
Self-Enshrouded Recluse's CRIT DMG effect depends on an ally holding the wearer's shield. Divine-Querying Master Smith grants allies increased damage after the wearer inflicts the DEF reduction state on an enemy.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The CRIT DMG bonus applies only to allies holding a shield provided by the wearer.
- The set increases Shield Effect provided by the wearer; the supplied description does not state a separate shield amount.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the 15% CRIT DMG for allies who are not holding the wearer's shield.
- Treating the conditional CRIT DMG as an unconditional bonus for all allies.
