Understand The Edacious Heretic
Useful when…
- A wearer whose damage pattern makes substantial use of Basic ATK.
Basic ATK bonuses
Two pieces grant 16% CRIT DMG. Four pieces increase the wearer's Basic ATK damage by 36%. When the wearer uses Basic ATK, they gain 20% ATK for 2 turns.
When to consider it
The set's main damage bonus is limited to Basic ATK, while its ATK buff is triggered by using Basic ATK. Consider it when those actions are an important part of the wearer's damage pattern. Wind-Soaring Valorous instead increases Ultimate damage after the wearer uses a Follow-Up ATK. World-Remaking Deliverer has a different Basic ATK or Skill trigger that also requires the wearer's memosprite to be on the field.
Duration and limits
The ATK increase lasts 2 turns after Basic ATK use. The stated 36% damage increase applies to Basic ATK damage; do not count it as a bonus to Skill, Ultimate, or Follow-Up ATK damage. Dreamlit Actor supports an ally targeted by the wearer's Skill or Ultimate and has its own Certified Banger condition for the team CRIT DMG effect.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The 4-piece damage increase is specific to Basic ATK.
- The ATK bonus requires a Basic ATK and lasts 2 turns.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the 36% damage bonus to attack types other than Basic ATK.
- Expecting the 20% ATK increase without using Basic ATK.
