Tingyun is a Lightning Harmony character who buffs one ally’s ATK, adds Lightning damage when that ally attacks, and restores that ally’s Energy with her Ultimate. Consider her when one damage dealer can make strong use of the buff and the Energy return.

Understand Tingyun

Useful when…

Buffing a single ally’s ATK and adding Lightning damage to their attacks.
Restoring 50 Energy to one ally with her Ultimate.
Using her Technique to begin with 50 Energy for herself.

Benediction and Energy effects

Her Skill grants Benediction to one ally for three turns and raises that ally’s ATK by a percentage, capped by a percentage of Tingyun’s current ATK. When the Benediction recipient attacks, they deal additional Lightning damage based on that ally’s ATK. Only the most recent Skill recipient has Benediction. When Tingyun attacks an enemy, her Talent makes the Benediction recipient deal an additional Lightning hit against that same enemy. Her Ultimate restores 50 Energy to one ally and increases that ally’s damage for two turns. Her Technique immediately restores 50 Energy to Tingyun herself.

Practical use and investment

Choose the ally who should receive Benediction, noting that using the Skill on someone else transfers the effect. Tingyun’s current ATK matters because it sets the cap on her Skill’s ATK increase; raising her ATK can therefore support that cap. Her Ultimate is the direct Energy tool for an ally whose energy needs make the 50-point restoration useful. Skill and Ultimate levels improve the core buff and Energy-support actions; the Talent contributes extra damage when Tingyun attacks the same enemy. Bonus traces include ATK and Lightning damage. Promotion and trace unlocks have separate costs and prerequisites, so prioritize the support effects used in your setup.

Limits and mistakes

Benediction is restricted to one latest recipient, and its ATK increase is capped by Tingyun’s current ATK. The Ultimate restores Energy to one ally, not the team. The additional Talent hit occurs when Tingyun attacks and targets the same enemy, so it is not a general teamwide damage bonus on every ally action. Bailu is listed as a Thunder Abundance character; matching element does not make her a substitute for Tingyun’s ATK buff or Energy restoration.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Her Skill buffs one ally at a time and only the most recent recipient retains Benediction.
Her Ultimate’s Energy restoration and damage increase target one ally.

Common mistakes to avoid

Assuming Benediction remains on multiple allies after successive Skill uses.
Ignoring the cap tied to Tingyun’s current ATK when evaluating the Skill buff.
Expecting the Ultimate to restore Energy to the entire party.
