Xueyi’s Ultimate ignores enemy Weakness Type when reducing Toughness, and her Talent converts her own and teammates’ Toughness reduction into Karma for a bouncing follow-up attack. Use her when your party can reduce Toughness frequently, especially when you want a character whose Ultimate can pressure a target regardless of its Weakness Type.

How do Toughness and Karma interact?

Divine Castigation deals Quantum damage to one target and ignores Weakness Type when reducing Toughness; once the enemy’s Weakness is Broken, it triggers the Quantum Weakness Break effect. Its damage increases with the Toughness reduced, up to a maximum 36% increase at the listed level-one parameters. Her Talent stacks Karma when she reduces Toughness with attacks, with more Toughness reduction granting more stacks, up to eight. When teammates reduce Toughness with attacks, she gains one Karma stack. At eight stacks, she consumes them and immediately launches a three-hit follow-up, each hit dealing Quantum damage to one random enemy; that follow-up does not add Karma.

What does she do between Ultimates?

Her Skill deals Quantum damage to one enemy and half that amount to adjacent enemies. Her Basic ATK is single-target Quantum damage, and her Technique deals Quantum damage to all enemies after entering combat. The Ultimate’s Weakness-ignoring Toughness reduction distinguishes its use from those attacks; the other listed attacks still use their stated Quantum damage and target patterns. Teammates’ Toughness reduction contributes to Karma, so her follow-up can build even when other characters are attacking.

What investment matches her mechanics?

The Ultimate, Skill, and Talent are the most directly connected to Toughness reduction, Karma generation, and the resulting follow-up damage. Break bonus traces fit a build that values those mechanics, while Quantum damage traces support her listed attacks. Teammate Toughness reduction can contribute to her Karma, so the value of this mechanic depends on how often the party attacks enemy Toughness.

What can limit the follow-up?

Karma is spent completely when it reaches the threshold, and the follow-up itself cannot build Karma. Its three hits select random single enemies, so do not count on all hits concentrating on one target. The Ultimate’s Toughness-based damage increase is capped; additional Toughness reduction beyond that does not increase that stated bonus further.

Limitations and tradeoffs

Her follow-up depends on accumulating eight Karma stacks through Toughness reduction.
The follow-up hits random single enemies and cannot generate more Karma.
The Ultimate’s Toughness-based damage increase has a stated cap.

Common mistakes to avoid

Assuming every Xueyi attack ignores Weakness Type; that property is stated for her Ultimate.
