Amrita and Dropped Progression

Death costs carried Amrita and unpurified Soul Cores, which the Guardian Spirit may retain at the death site. Recovering them carries a risk of dying again.

How it works

The source says death causes loss of accumulated Amrita and unpurified Soul Cores, while the Guardian Spirit attempts to retain them at the death site. Touching the grave can recover them, but dying again before returning loses them permanently. It also describes Spirit Stones as consumables that grant Amrita, including for leveling before a boss fight.

When it helps

If you have unspent Amrita or an unpurified Soul Core, consider the risk of carrying them into a dangerous stretch. If you die, weigh the risk of returning to the grave against continuing without those resources.

The tradeoff

Recovering dropped progress requires reaching the grave, and another death before reclaiming it can lose the Amrita and cores permanently.

Your next step

Purify Soul Cores at a Shrine and consider spending or banking Amrita before a risky mission section, as the source describes.
