Burst Counter Forms
Brute, Feral, and Phantom Burst Counters answer enemy Burst Attacks in different ways. They consume Anima, and their timing and movement properties differ by form.
How it works
The source says Burst Attacks are unblockable and that Burst Counter consumes one segment of the Anima Gauge. Brute uses a wide strike with timing described as tricky; Feral dashes forward and can also provide a quick getaway when out of Ki; Phantom acts quickly, reduces enemy Ki effectively, and lacks mobility.
When it helps
Consider the Burst Counter form tied to your Guardian Spirit and the response you want: a strike, a mobile dash, or a fast counter that reduces enemy Ki. The source says enemy timing varies, so adapt to the attack.
The tradeoff
The forms have different timing and mobility: Brute can be tricky to land, while Phantom lacks mobility; all require Anima.
Your next step
Check your Guardian Spirit’s form and observe the timing of an enemy Burst Attack before choosing when to counter.
