Power-source pools and Empower
Class abilities spend variable amounts from class-specific pools that replenish outside combat; Empower can strengthen an ability or restore half the maximum pool.
How it works
The class passage says each class uses its own power-source pool and abilities cost varying numbers of points that replenish outside combat. Empower can increase an ability’s effectiveness or restore half of maximum power-source points. It is usable once per encounter per character and replenishes upon resting. The passage does not list the costs of individual abilities or specify which option is available in a given situation.
