Potion and Decoction Toxicity
Potions and decoctions grant varied effects while adding toxicity; potion toxicity declines over time, whereas decoction toxicity lasts for its effect.
How it works
The passage says potions and decoctions can grant effects such as increased damage, Stamina regeneration, dark vision, or carry weight. It gives potion toxicity as 15–25 and decoction toxicity as 70, with a default threshold of 75 at which Geralt starts taking damage over time. Potion toxicity slowly decreases; decoction toxicity remains until its effect expires. A consumable cannot be taken if it would exceed current maximum toxicity.
When it helps
If managing multiple consumables, account for the different toxicity behavior and the stated default damage threshold.
