Understand Ammo Stock
Useful when…
- Shotguns whose magazine capacity is a practical constraint. The bonus is magazine capacity, not a direct damage increase.
Effect and fit
This standard shotgun mod uses a Naramon polarity and reaches +60% magazine capacity at rank 5; at rank 0 it grants +10%. It cannot be equipped alongside Flawed Ammo Stock or Primed Ammo Stock.
Ranking investment
The mod has five upgrade ranks and base drain 2. Its first listed upgrade step costs 20 Endo and 966 Credits, while the rank 4-to-5 step costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits. The increase from +40% at rank 3 to +60% at rank 5 is a capacity gain; whether those later ranks are worthwhile depends on how often reloading limits your use of that shotgun.
Variants and alternative effects
Flawed Ammo Stock offers +20% magazine capacity, while Primed Ammo Stock offers +110%; they are named incompatible versions, not additions to Ammo Stock. Accelerated Blast instead combines +60% fire rate with +60% Puncture and has a different polarity, so consider it when those effects suit the weapon rather than as another magazine-capacity version.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Uses a standard shotgun mod slot for capacity.
- Higher ranks require increasing Endo and Credit investment.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating magazine capacity as direct damage.
- Trying to equip Ammo Stock together with its named Flawed or Primed incompatible versions.
