Understand Flawed Bane of Corpus
Useful when…
- Equip on a rifle for the listed damage multiplier against Corpus.
What does it do?
The mod applies a Corpus-specific damage multiplier: 1.03× at rank 0, 1.08× at rank 2, and 1.1× at rank 3. It is specifically a Flawed variant, not a general damage bonus against every faction.
What are the restrictions and costs?
It fits rifles, has Madurai polarity, base drain 2, and three ranks. It is explicitly incompatible with Bane of Corpus and Primed Bane of Corpus, so it cannot be combined with either named mod. Listed fusion costs are 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, rising to 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for rank 2 to 3.
How does it compare with the other variants?
The standard Bane of Corpus lists 1.3× damage to Corpus, and Primed Bane of Corpus lists 1.55×. These are comparison values for separate variants; the Flawed mod's compatibility exclusions mean they cannot be equipped together with it. Aerial Ace, by contrast, is a rifle Exilus mod that refreshes double jump on a kill while airborne, not a faction-damage substitute.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus applies to Corpus, not all enemies.
- Its Flawed variant has a lower listed multiplier than the standard and Primed comparisons.
- Cannot be equipped with the named standard or Primed Corpus Bane mods.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating its multiplier as applying to every faction.
- Attempting to equip it together with Bane of Corpus or Primed Bane of Corpus.
