Primed Bane of Corpus

Primed rifle anti-Corpus damage mod

Released Jan 7, 2016

Primed Bane of Corpus multiplies rifle damage against Corpus. Consider it for a rifle loadout intended for Corpus enemies; it does not provide that faction bonus against other enemy factions.

Understand Primed Bane of Corpus

Useful when…

  • Add a faction-specific damage multiplier to a rifle against Corpus.
  • Use a lower rank when the full bonus is not worth the listed fusion investment.

Faction effect

Primed Bane of Corpus is a standard-slot rifle mod with Madurai polarity. It lists ×1.05 damage to Corpus at rank 0, ×1.3 at rank 5, and ×1.55 at rank 10. The condition is the target faction; the listed effect does not extend to other factions.

Rank costs and variants

The listed rank 5-to-6 step costs 1,280 Endo and 61,824 Credits; rank 9-to-10 costs 20,480 Endo and 989,184 Credits. Standard Bane of Corpus lists ×1.3 damage at its maximum rank, while Flawed Bane of Corpus lists ×1.1. Primed Bane of Corpus explicitly excludes both, making them alternative variants.

Slot distinction

Aerial Ace is an Exilus rifle mod whose effect refreshes Double Jump on a kill while airborne, up to six times. It does not provide faction damage and uses a different slot type, so it addresses movement rather than replacing the Corpus bonus.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Its damage multiplier is faction-specific and occupies a standard rifle slot.
  • The Primed version has a higher listed maximum but substantial final-rank costs.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Expecting the Corpus-specific multiplier to apply to other factions.
  • Attempting to equip it with Bane of Corpus or Flawed Bane of Corpus despite the exclusions.
