Understand Berserker Fury
Useful when…
- Melee combat with frequent kill triggers.
- Adding conditional attack speed to a melee weapon build.
Trigger and rank progression
At rank 0, a melee kill grants +5.8% Attack Speed for 10 seconds; rank 3 lists +23.3%, and rank 5 lists +35%. The effect stacks up to 2x. It therefore rewards ongoing melee kills, rather than providing its full listed value continuously without a trigger.
Compatibility and exclusions
This standard Rare mod fits melee weapons, has Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and maximum rank 5. It explicitly excludes Flawed Berserker Fury, Fury, Flawed Fury, and Primed Fury. Check those exclusions before planning the weapon’s mod slots.
Rank investment and alternatives
Fusion costs rise sharply at high ranks: rank 4 to 5 costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. The listed effect improves from +23.3% per stack at rank 3 to +35% at rank 5. Flawed Berserker Fury has a similar kill trigger but a lower rank 3 cap of +23.3%; Fury and Flawed Fury list flat attack-speed bonuses without a kill trigger. Choose based on whether kill-triggered stacks or a flat bonus better suits the weapon and use pattern.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Requires melee kills to gain and refresh its timed bonus.
- The last rank has a steep Endo and Credit cost.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming it grants attack speed before a melee kill or after its 10-second duration ends.
- Attempting to equip it with Fury or another explicitly incompatible mod.
