Understand Blind Shot
Useful when…
- Increase projectile speed on a pistol in Conclave.
- Use a lower rank when some projectile speed is useful but the accuracy penalty or capacity cost should be limited.
What does Blind Shot change?
Blind Shot grants Projectile Speed and subtracts Accuracy. At rank 3 the values are +40% Projectile Speed and -4% Accuracy; rank 0 lists +10% and -1%, while rank 2 lists +30% and -3%. It is a Conclave variant, a standard-slot pistol mod with Madurai polarity and base drain 6. The stats describe the mod’s bonuses and do not establish a weapon’s final hit rate or damage.
How should I rank it?
Maximum rank is 3. Example fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits from rank 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Each rank raises projectile speed and the accuracy penalty together. Stop at a lower rank if the extra speed does not warrant the corresponding penalty or capacity investment.
What are the closest listed comparisons?
Heavy Warhead is also a Conclave pistol mod, but pairs +100% Blast Radius with -50% Projectile Speed, a distinct trade for blast-focused use. Lethal Momentum grants +40% Projectile Speed in a standard pistol Exilus slot, so it shares the speed bonus value but is a different variant and slot. Amalgam Barrel Diffusion is a standard pistol mod combining +110% Multishot and +60% Dodge Speed; its listed stats do not make it a direct projectile-speed alternative.
Where is it listed, and what should I avoid?
The supplied drop entries list several Conclave reward rotations at 2.48%; they are source listings, not guarantees of current availability. Do not overlook the Accuracy penalty when ranking for more speed, and do not confuse this Conclave variant with the standard Exilus mod Lethal Momentum.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Projectile Speed rises alongside an Accuracy reduction at every listed rank.
- The Conclave variant and standard pistol Exilus comparison differ in mode and slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Ignoring the Accuracy loss while ranking for projectile speed.
- Equipping the Conclave variant as though it were the standard Exilus mod.
- Treating a projectile-speed bonus as a guaranteed increase to damage or accuracy.
