Heavy Warhead

Conclave pistol projectile mod

Released Dec 3, 2015

Heavy Warhead enlarges a pistol projectile’s blast radius while slowing its projectile speed. Consider it when using a radial-attack pistol in Conclave and when the larger radius is worth the slower projectile.

Heavy Warhead GUIDE

Understand Heavy Warhead

Useful when…

  • Increase the blast radius of a compatible pistol’s radial attack in Conclave.
  • Trade projectile travel speed for a larger listed blast radius.

Effect and mode

At rank 0, Heavy Warhead grants +25% blast radius and reduces projectile speed by 12.5%. At rank 2, the values are +75% and −37.5%; at rank 3 they are +100% and −50%. This is a Conclave pistol mod; the input does not specify a particular weapon or attack mode beyond its blast-radius and projectile-speed effects.

Fit and ranking

It uses a standard pistol slot, has Madurai polarity and base drain 10, and reaches rank 3. The final listed step, from rank 2 to 3, costs 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits. Rank it further when the additional radius matters enough to accept the accompanying projectile-speed penalty and added investment.

Compare the trade

Blind Shot makes pistol projectiles faster (+40%) at the cost of 4% accuracy, while Lethal Momentum lists +40% projectile speed in an Exilus slot. Fulmination improves blast radius for weapons with radial attacks. These are different tradeoffs or applications; their descriptions do not establish that they can replace Heavy Warhead in every Conclave build.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Increasing blast radius also decreases projectile speed.
  • The mod has base drain 10 and uses a standard slot.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating the radius increase as a free benefit while ignoring the projectile-speed reduction.
  • Assuming blast-radius improvement applies to attacks without radial effects.
