When is it useful, and what fits?

Its benefit is tied to attacking Orokin, so its value depends on the enemies you expect to face. It applies to shotguns and occupies a standard mod slot. The listed Primed Cleanse Orokin is a higher-rank alternative with x1.55 damage to Orokin, but it is a separate choice and this mod explicitly excludes that Primed variant. Fire-rate mods such as Accelerated Blast and Amalgam Shotgun Barrage have different effects and do not provide the same faction bonus.

How should you rank it?

The mod reaches rank 5. The supplied cost examples rise from 20 Endo and 966 credits for rank 0→1, to 80 Endo and 3,864 credits for 2→3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 credits for 4→5. Invest further when the Orokin-specific bonus matters to your use; stopping at a lower rank preserves resources while retaining the smaller listed multiplier.

What should you avoid?

Do not treat the Orokin bonus as universal against every faction or as the weapon’s final damage figure. The standard mod cannot be equipped alongside its explicitly excluded Primed Cleanse Orokin variant. Listed acquisition sources include Duviri/Endless normal tiers 1 and 3 and Rotation B of the named Defection missions; no source is guaranteed by that listing.

Limitations and tradeoffs
