Understand Collision Force
Useful when…
- Add a percentage bonus to Impact on a compatible melee weapon.
- Use when Impact damage is the component you want to emphasize.
What does it increase?
Collision Force provides +20% Impact at rank 0, +80% at rank 3, and +120% at rank 5. It is a standard melee mod with Naramon polarity, maximum rank 5, and base drain 6. The stated bonus applies to Impact; it is not a claim about the weapon’s final damage or its other damage types.
Build fit and alternatives
It uses a standard melee slot. Auger Strike lists +120% Puncture instead, while Amalgam Organ Shatter increases Critical Damage and Heavy Attack Wind Up Speed. Berserker Fury is conditional on a melee kill and increases Attack Speed for 10 seconds, stacking up to two times. These serve different purposes; choose based on which listed property or condition fits the weapon plan.
Ranking cost
Example fusion costs are 30 Endo and 1,449 credits for rank 0→1, 120 Endo and 5,796 credits for 2→3, and 480 Endo and 23,184 credits for 4→5. The Impact bonus grows with rank, but the later example step is more expensive. Stop at a rank that balances the desired Impact increase with the resources and slot capacity available.
Listed source and limitation
The listed source is Eidolon Teralyst. This is a source listing, not a guarantee. Do not read +120% Impact as +120% to every melee damage component or as a final damage result.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonus applies to Impact rather than all damage types.
- Higher ranks use increasing fusion resources and a standard melee slot.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating the Impact bonus as a bonus to every damage type.
- Reading the listed percentage as final weapon damage.
- Ignoring the different conditions and effects of the comparison mods.
