Understand Convulsion
Useful when…
- Add Electricity to a Pistol setup.
- Compare its single-element bonus with the Flawed or Primed versions, or with a dual-stat mod when another effect is needed.
Effect and compatibility
Convulsion grants +15% Electricity at rank 0, +60% at rank 3, and +90% at rank 5. It is a standard Pistol mod with Naramon polarity and base drain 6. It explicitly cannot be equipped with Flawed Convulsion or Primed Convulsion.
Rank costs
The example steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits from rank 4 to 5. The final steps are considerably more expensive; rank it to the level that fits the benefit and capacity you need.
Related pistol mods
Flawed Convulsion reaches +40% Electricity at rank 3, while Primed Convulsion reaches +165% at rank 10. Accelerated Isotope grants +60% Radiation and +40% Fire Rate rather than a single Electricity bonus. These options differ in element, rank profile, and added stat, so choose according to the build's requirements rather than assuming one is a direct substitute.
Drop sources
The listed sources include a range of enemies and missions, including Exploiter Orb and Kuva Larvling. These entries are a cached snapshot and do not guarantee current availability.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Ranking to maximum costs more Endo and Credits at later ranks and raises mod drain.
- Electricity is the only listed bonus; the mod does not add Fire Rate or Radiation.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to equip Convulsion together with either excluded Convulsion variant.
- Reading +90% Electricity as a guaranteed final damage increase of 90%.
