Understand Accelerated Isotope
Useful when…
- Adding Radiation and faster firing to a compatible pistol.
- Using a dual-stat option when both of its bonuses fit the weapon setup.
Effects by rank
At rank 0, Accelerated Isotope gives +15% Radiation and +10% Fire Rate. At rank 2 it gives +45% and +30%; at rank 3 it reaches +60% Radiation and +40% Fire Rate.
Pistol fit and slot
It is a rank 3 Rare pistol mod with Madurai polarity, base drain 4, and standard-slot placement. Compatibility is listed as Pistol, with no named incompatible items. Consider both the damage-type bonus and firing-speed effect when deciding whether it belongs in the build.
Rank investment
The three listed rank-up steps cost 30, 60, and 120 Endo, plus 1,449, 2,898, and 5,796 credits. Rank 0 already provides both bonuses at reduced values; rank 3 reaches the stated maximum. The additional Fire Rate and Radiation rise together, so spend toward the cap when both are useful enough to justify the Endo and mod capacity.
Other Fire Rate tradeoffs
Anemic Agility gives +90% Fire Rate with -15% Damage, while Creeping Bullseye gives +200% Critical Chance with -20% Fire Rate. Flawed Gunslinger gives +30% Fire Rate and is a Flawed variant. Each is a different package; none provides the same listed combination of Radiation and positive Fire Rate as Accelerated Isotope.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its Radiation and Fire Rate bonuses are paired, so the damage-type bonus may not suit every pistol configuration.
- Uses a standard mod slot and base drain 4.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating +60% Radiation as a guaranteed 60% increase to total weapon damage.
- Ignoring that the mod occupies a standard pistol slot.
