Understand Flawed Gunslinger
Useful when…
- Add fire rate to a pistol when mod capacity is limited.
- Use as an interim option before using the standard Gunslinger, if available.
What it does
The mod applies a fire-rate bonus to pistols: +7.5% at rank 0, +22.5% at rank 2, and +30% at rank 3. It has a Madurai polarity, uses a standard slot, and starts at 2 drain.
Rank and investment
It has three ranks. The supplied fusion steps cost 20 Endo and 966 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits from rank 1 to 2, and 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Rank it when the extra fire rate is useful and the additional drain fits your build; the final rank raises the bonus from 22.5% to 30%.
Limits and alternatives
This Flawed variant cannot be equipped alongside Gunslinger. Standard Gunslinger reaches +72% fire rate at rank 5, with 4 base drain and the same listed Madurai polarity. Accelerated Isotope is a different standard pistol mod: it offers +40% fire rate and +60% Radiation, but has 4 base drain. Air Recon is a Conclave Exilus mod that reduces zoom while aim gliding; it does not provide fire rate.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The lower 2 base drain and shorter rank track come with a lower maximum fire-rate bonus than standard Gunslinger.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Trying to equip it alongside Gunslinger; the two variants are explicitly incompatible.
- Assuming its +30% maximum matches the standard mod's +72% maximum.
