Effect and fit
Gunslinger applies to pistols and reaches +12% fire rate at rank 0, +48% at rank 3, and +72% at rank 5. It is a standard mod with Madurai polarity and 4 base drain. The listed bonus is a mod effect, not a calculation of final weapon damage.
Rank investment
The mod has five ranks. Listed fusion costs include 20 Endo and 966 Credits for rank 0 to 1, 80 Endo and 3,864 Credits for rank 2 to 3, and 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits for rank 4 to 5. Later ranks cost more; weigh the additional fire rate against the rising Endo, Credits, and drain commitment.
Alternatives and incompatibility
Flawed Gunslinger is a lower-drain variant with a maximum +30% bonus at rank 3, and cannot be equipped together with Gunslinger. Accelerated Isotope trades a smaller +40% fire-rate bonus for an additional +60% Radiation and has 4 base drain. Air Recon occupies an Exilus slot and changes zoom while aim gliding, so it serves a different purpose.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Higher ranks provide more fire rate but increase fusion investment and mod drain.
- The Flawed variant cannot be equipped at the same time.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping it alongside Flawed Gunslinger despite their listed incompatibility.
- Treating the listed fire-rate percentage as a final damage increase.
