Which fire mode and hits count?
The augment applies to burst fire only. Headshots increase critical chance by 2.5% per headshot at rank 0, 7% at rank 3, and 10% at rank 5, up to a 500% cap. A burst that misses with all shots removes up to 100% of this bonus critical chance. The effect therefore rewards accurate burst use and can lose progress after a complete miss.
Fit and related option
Critical Precision is a standard mod for the Tiberon, with Madurai polarity and base drain 2. Measured Burst is a Conclave variant whose provided description only says 'When Aiming:' and supplies no complete effect. That incomplete description does not establish a comparable bonus, so it cannot support a direct effect comparison.
Rank investment
The maximum rank is 5. Rank 3 adds 7% critical chance per headshot, while rank 5 adds 10%; both retain the stated 500% cap and complete-miss penalty. The step from rank 4 to 5 costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits. A lower rank may be enough when you want the stacking effect but prefer to invest less in the augment.
Limitations and tradeoffs

Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the augment to apply to Tiberon fire modes other than burst fire.
