Measured Burst

Conclave Tiberon damage mod

Released Nov 4, 2015

Measured Burst trades firing speed for damage while aiming. Consider it for a Conclave Tiberon setup when you can accept slower fire and keep the weapon aimed; it is specific to the Tiberon and the Conclave variant.

Understand Measured Burst

Useful when…

  • Conclave Tiberon builds that prioritize listed damage over firing speed while aiming.

What changes while aiming?

The mod's rank effects pair a Fire Rate penalty with a Damage bonus: at rank 0, -15% Fire Rate and +7.5% Damage; at rank 3, -60% Fire Rate and +30% Damage. The item is identified as a Conclave Tiberon mod, so do not treat it as a general rifle mod or assume the listed values describe final weapon damage.

When is the trade useful?

Consider it if you aim often and prefer a damage increase despite a substantial reduction in fire rate. The slower firing can change how the weapon feels and how quickly it delivers shots, so the bonus is not a free damage gain.

Rank and fit

It is a standard Madurai-polarity mod with base drain 10 and maximum rank 3. Rank 0 to 1 costs 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits; later listed steps rise to 60/2,898 and 120/5,796. Increase rank when the larger damage bonus is worth the stronger fire-rate penalty and added investment. The supported compatibility is Tiberon.

How it differs from Critical Precision

Critical Precision is a Standard-variant Tiberon mod whose description applies only to Burst Fire and builds Critical Chance through headshots, with a penalty for missing every shot in a burst. That is a different condition and effect from Measured Burst's aiming damage/fire-rate tradeoff; it is not an automatic replacement.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Higher rank increases both the Damage bonus and the Fire Rate penalty.
  • Its stated compatibility is limited to Tiberon.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Treating the Damage bonus as a final damage total.
  • Ignoring that the fire-rate penalty grows with rank.
  • Applying it as though it were a general rifle mod or the Standard Tiberon augment.
