Understand Dark Propagation
Useful when…
- Spreading Sow from killed affected enemies.
- Applying Sow through Shadow's Death Harvest as well as Sevagoth's Sow.
Effect and conditions
At rank 0, a killed enemy affected by Sow spreads its effect in a 9 m radius; rank 2 raises this to 13 m, and rank 3 reaches 15 m. The augment also makes Shadow's Death Harvest inflict Sow. The spread depends on killing an enemy while it is inflicted with Sow.
Fit and slot
This is a standard Sevagoth mod with Zenurik polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 6. Its practical value is tied to using Sow and arranging kills among affected enemies; the radius increase matters most when enemies are close enough to be reached by the spread.
Ranking tradeoff
Fusion costs are listed as 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, 60 Endo and 2,898 Credits from 1 to 2, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from 2 to 3. Rank 3 gives the full 15 m radius; lower ranks retain the augment's effect at shorter ranges.
Alternative augment role
Shadow Haze is a separate Reap augment: it increases Critical Chance by 50% on enemies inflicted with Death Harvest and can create a new Shadow when those enemies perish, up to three Shadows. It does not provide Dark Propagation's Sow spread, so the two serve different effects.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The spread requires a Sow-affected enemy to die.
- Maximum spread radius requires the highest rank and its fusion cost.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Assuming the spread happens without killing an enemy inflicted with Sow.
- Expecting Shadow Haze to spread Sow; it has a distinct Reap effect.
