Understand Elusive Posture
Useful when…
- Set a claw-equipped beast companion to avoid attacking.
- Increase the companion's listed evasion while choosing a non-attacking posture.
Effect and rank scaling
At maximum rank, Elusive Posture makes the companion avoid attacking and grants +50% Evasion. Rank 0 gives +12.5% Evasion, and rank 2 gives +37.5%. The evasion benefit rises with rank, but the companion's non-attacking behavior is part of the posture itself.
Equipment and investment
This standard posture is for Claws, has Penjaga polarity, and a listed base drain of -2. Its three-rank fusion track costs 40 Endo and 1,932 Credits for the final rank 2 to 3 step. Consider the upgrade for more evasion, but remember that choosing this posture also means the companion will avoid attacking.
Offensive posture alternatives
Protector Posture prioritizes attacking enemies within 15 meters of the Warframe and lists added Puncture status effects. Assassin Posture prioritizes Eximus and other high-ranking enemies and grants +300% Overguard Damage. Persistent Posture picks a target and attacks it relentlessly, with +40% Impact Damage. Each supports an offensive companion role, unlike Elusive Posture's non-attacking behavior.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The companion avoids attacking, giving up the offensive behavior described by the comparison postures.
- The evasion bonus rises with rank and requires fusion investment.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Equipping it while expecting the companion to attack enemies.
- Treating the evasion bonus as a damage or offensive bonus.
