Understand Elusive Retribution
Useful when…
- Add temporary melee attack speed and critical damage after evading attacks with Elude.
- Build around maintaining up to six stacks while using Baruuk's Elude.
Trigger and stack effect
Each attack Baruuk Eludes increases both Melee Attack Speed and Melee Critical Damage by 5%. At rank 0, the augment allows up to three stacks; rank 2 allows five, and rank 3 allows six. Stacks last six seconds. The stated trigger is an attack being Eluded, so merely equipping the augment does not grant the bonuses without that condition.
Fit and rank costs
This standard Baruuk mod has Zenurik polarity and base drain 6. It has three ranks; the example cost for rank 2 to 3 is 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits. The final rank raises the cap by one 5% stack over rank 2. Invest when you expect to trigger and refresh the stacks often enough for the melee bonuses to matter.
Different Baruuk augment roles
Endless Lullaby extends Lull's duration and can retrigger it after a finisher or kill on a sleeping enemy. Reactive Storm modifies Desert Wind with +250% Status Chance and damage that matches enemy weaknesses. Those augment different abilities and conditions; neither supplies Elusive Retribution's evade-triggered melee bonuses.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- The bonuses require attacks to be Eluded and expire after six seconds.
- The augment consumes a mod slot and has base drain 6.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Counting the melee bonuses as permanent without triggering Elude or refreshing stacks.
- Confusing this Elude augment with effects that modify Lull or Desert Wind.
