Understand Reactive Storm
Useful when…
- Use with Serene Storm when adapting Desert Wind’s damage type to enemy weaknesses is useful.
- Consider ranking it if the higher Status Chance bonus matters to your Desert Wind setup.
What does it do?
Reactive Storm augments Serene Storm: Desert Wind changes its damage type to match enemy weaknesses and gains Status Chance. The bonus is +100% at rank 0, +200% at rank 2, and +250% at rank 3. This effect applies to Desert Wind; it does not state that other weapons or attacks receive the damage-type change.
When is it useful?
The damage-type adaptation makes this a focused choice for a Baruuk setup that uses Serene Storm. The Status Chance bonus also increases with rank. Endless Lullaby instead supports Lull by extending its duration and retriggering it after a finisher or kill on a sleeping enemy; Elusive Retribution rewards attacks Baruuk Eludes with melee attack speed and critical damage. These augments have separate triggers and ability focuses.
How should you rank it?
The listed Status Chance bonus rises from +100% at rank 0 to +250% at rank 3; the damage-type adaptation is present in the rank descriptions as well. Example fusion steps cost 30 Endo and 1,449 Credits from rank 0 to 1, and 120 Endo and 5,796 Credits from rank 2 to 3. Consider the higher ranks when their larger Status Chance bonus justifies the additional fusion and capacity commitment.
Slot limits
Reactive Storm is a standard Baruuk mod with Zenurik polarity, maximum rank 3, and base drain 6. It uses a standard slot and competes with other Baruuk mods for that slot and capacity. The supplied mechanics do not specify an exact resulting damage value against any particular enemy, so treat the listed adaptation as a damage-type effect, not a guaranteed final-damage figure.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Only benefits Desert Wind through Serene Storm, so its value depends on using that ability.
- Uses a standard slot and requires fusion resources to increase its Status Chance bonus.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying the augment’s effects to weapons other than Desert Wind.
- Assuming the damage-type change guarantees a specific final damage increase.
- Overlooking that the augment occupies a standard slot.
