Understand EMP Aura
Useful when…
- Missions against Corpus when reducing their accuracy is useful.
Effect and use
At maximum rank, Corpus enemies lose 15% Accuracy; at rank 0, they lose 2.5%. The listed effect is faction-specific, so consider it when Corpus are the opposition. It does not provide a general accuracy reduction against other factions.
Slot and investment
This is a Vazarin-polarity Aura mod with a base drain of -2 and a maximum rank of 5. Fusion improves the accuracy reduction, from 2.5% at rank 0 to 15% at rank 5. The example upgrade from rank 4 to 5 costs 320 Endo and 15,456 Credits, so weigh that last increment against other mod investments.
Choosing an Aura
Infested Impedance instead reduces Infested speed by 18%, while Corrosive Projection reduces enemy armor by 18%; each has a different target or effect. Combat Discipline has a squad health-on-kill effect paired with a 10 Health loss for you on kill. These are alternatives for distinct needs, not interchangeable versions of EMP Aura.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Only affects Corpus accuracy.
- Ranking it up improves the effect but uses Endo and Credits.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Expecting the accuracy reduction to affect non-Corpus enemies.
- Spending heavily to rank it without considering how often the faction-specific effect will matter.
