Energy Generator

Dethcube precept that creates Energy Orbs after assisted kills

Released Oct 12, 2018

Energy Generator makes Dethcube drop an Energy Orb after it assists in a set number of kills. Consider it when Dethcube can contribute to kills and you want this conditional Energy support.

Understand Energy Generator

Useful when…

  • Adding Energy Orb generation to a Dethcube loadout that assists in kills.
  • Supporting Energy-dependent play when the sentinel can meet the kill-assist threshold.

Trigger and output

At rank 0, Dethcube drops an Energy Orb after assisting in 15 kills; at rank 3, after 12; and at max rank 5, after 10. The trigger specifically requires Dethcube to assist in the kills. The precept is for Dethcube, uses a standard slot, and has Penjaga polarity.

Ranking and investment

Energy Generator has base drain 4 and maximum rank 5. The final listed step costs 480 Endo and 23,184 Credits, reducing the required assists from 12 to 10. Consider ranking it according to how consistently Dethcube assists in kills and how valuable the more frequent trigger is to your setup.

A different Dethcube precept

Vaporize is also a Dethcube mod, but its listed effect is a stun and 600 damage to an enemy within 30 m every 10 seconds, with damage affected by Sentinel Weapon Mods. It is a separate combat effect, not a replacement source for Energy Generator's Energy Orb trigger.

Limitations and tradeoffs

  • Orb generation depends on Dethcube assisting in kills.
  • The higher-rank threshold takes additional Endo and Credits to reach.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Assuming any player kill counts without Dethcube assisting.
  • Equipping the precept on a sentinel other than Dethcube.
