Understand Boar Prime
Useful when…
- Consider the Normal Attack's listed falloff when comparing its damage profile across ranges.
- Compare the separate Incarnon Form entry by its listed Heat damage, critical chance, and status chance.
Normal Attack and Incarnon Form
The Normal Attack is hitscan, automatic, and lists eight multishot. It deals 26 Impact, 6 Puncture, and 8 Slash, with 15% critical chance, a 2× critical multiplier, and 11.25% status chance. Falloff begins at 18 and ends at 25, where the listed reduction is 70%. Incarnon Form is a separate hitscan entry: it lists 30 Heat damage, speed 8, 20% critical chance, a 2.2× multiplier, and 24% status chance. Keep the two entries' damage and statistics separate.
Firing and requirements
Normal fire is listed at about 4.67 shots per second, with a 20-round magazine and a 2.75-second reload. Listed accuracy is 5. Boar Prime requires Mastery Rank 11 and has a rank cap of 30. Build time is 43,200 seconds.
Other shotgun descriptions
Kuva Kohm's description says it releases an additional bolt for every shot fired in rapid succession and grows more lethal. Phantasma is described as firing a continuous plasma stream, with a charged secondary fire that releases a glob of plasma that erupts with homing bomblets on impact. Phantasma Prime's description also mentions increased magazine capacity in Revenant's hands and irradiated plasma. These descriptions provide different attack details for comparison; they do not establish an overall upgrade over Boar Prime.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Normal Attack damage falls off from 18 to 25, reaching a listed 70% reduction at 25.
- Normal fire has a 2.75-second reload and a 20-round magazine.
- Incarnon Form and Normal Attack have separate damage types and statistics.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Treating Incarnon Form's 30 Heat damage as part of Normal Attack damage.
- Ignoring the Normal Attack's listed falloff from 18 to 25.
- Assuming the Incarnon Form entry specifies how to activate or maintain that form.
