Understand Dual Ichor
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for close-range hits combining Toxin and physical damage.
- Use regular or heavy slams for their distinct area damage modes.
Normal attack profile
The normal attack lists 122 total damage: 47 Toxin, 45 Slash, 19 Impact, and 11 Puncture. Its speed is 1.08, critical chance 25%, critical multiplier 3x, and status chance 15%. This profile favors critical hits compared with the modest listed status chance.
Slam modes
A regular slam deals 244 Impact damage as an area attack, with falloff from 0 to 8 m and 50% reduction. A heavy slam instead deals 366 Blast damage, with falloff from 0 to 9 m and 30% reduction. Each lists 10% status chance, so these modes should not be conflated with the normal attack's Toxin and 15% status chance.
Investment and alternatives
Dual Ichor requires Mastery Rank 6, has a Vazarin polarity, and lists 2.3 m range. Its 25% critical chance and 3x multiplier provide a useful basis for a critical-oriented setup, while the 15% normal status chance is a more limited starting point for status emphasis. Masseter is a Mastery Rank 8 Heavy Blade; Arum Spinosa is a Warfan whose described heavy attack throws toxic spines. They offer different handling or attack options, not automatic substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its critical profile is stronger than its listed 15% normal status chance suggests for status-focused use.
- Normal, slam, and heavy-slam attacks use different damage compositions.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not assume Toxin appears on the slam attacks; the listed regular slam is Impact and heavy slam is Blast.
- Do not use the normal attack's 15% status chance for slam attacks, which list 10%.
