Understand Dual Viciss
Useful when…
- Use normal attacks for close-range strikes with high listed Gas damage and status chance.
- Use regular and heavy slams for distinct Gas area attacks.
Normal attacks
The normal attack lists 255 total damage: 153 Gas, 51 Slash, and 51 Puncture. It attacks at speed 1, with 23% critical chance, 2.1x critical multiplier, and 29% status chance. The high Gas share and status chance make status-oriented use a plausible direction, though no specific proc outcome is guaranteed by these figures alone.
Slam attacks
A regular slam is an area attack dealing 510 Gas, with falloff from 0 to 8 m and 50% reduction. A heavy slam deals 765 Gas, with falloff from 0 to 9 m and 30% reduction. Both retain the listed 29% status chance. These are distinct attack modes, rather than extra damage to add to each normal strike.
Requirements and choices
Despite its group label, the weapon's listed equipment type is Dual Swords. It requires Mastery Rank 14 and has no listed polarity. Efv-5 Jupiter is a Rifle with an alternative fire, and Purgator 1 is a Launcher; Acceltra Prime is also a Rifle. These ranged options have different attack handling, so compare them only if choosing between melee and ranged roles rather than assuming their stat lines predict equivalent use.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Its high normal status chance and Gas weighting are paired with a 23% critical chance.
- Mastery Rank 14 is a substantial progression requirement compared with basic dual swords.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Do not classify it as a rifle based on its group label; its equipment type is Dual Swords.
- Do not add slam damage to normal attack damage; each is a separate attack mode.
