Understand Ember
Useful when…
- Applying Heat to nearby enemies to increase Ability Strength through her passive.
- Stripping enemy armor and knocking enemies back with Fire Blast.
- Spreading fire among enemies with Inferno.
- Using Immolation for protection while monitoring its meter and energy cost.
What do Ember's abilities do?
Fireball launches a fiery projectile that ignites enemies on contact. Immolation protects Ember with flame armor that grows stronger over time; once its meter is full, it consumes energy, and recasting extinguishes the flame. Fire Blast slams the ground with an incinerating plasma wave that knocks enemies back and strips their armor. Inferno sends a flaming comet in front of Ember, engulfing enemies with fire that can spread through their ranks. Her passive grants Ability Strength for each enemy within Affinity Range affected by Heat; the per-enemy amount is an unresolved placeholder.
When is she useful?
Ember fits fights where Heat can reach multiple enemies: affected enemies within Affinity Range contribute to her passive, and Inferno's fire can spread through ranks. Fire Blast combines crowd displacement with armor stripping. Immolation offers escalating protection, but its full meter starts consuming energy, so pay attention to that state and recast to extinguish it when needed. The descriptions do not provide damage, strip, or meter values.
What investment details are supported?
Ember lists 270 health, 270 shields, 135 armor, and 175 power. Her configuration has two Naramon polarities and a Madurai aura polarity. The input gives no ability upgrade track or numerical scaling, so it supports no exact mod build or damage claim. Prime Ember has higher listed armor and shields and different polarities, but this does not establish that regular Ember's abilities change.
How do the other candidates differ?
Gauss is described as relying on movement to charge a battery and as having high damage and survivability; Titania is described as dealing damage and providing crowd control. These summaries do not establish Ember's Heat-affected passive, armor stripping, or Immolation mechanic, so they are not demonstrated ability substitutes.
Limitations and tradeoffs
- Immolation's escalating protection begins consuming energy at full meter.
- The passive's numeric Ability Strength gain per affected enemy is unresolved.
- The abilities have no supplied numerical scaling for exact damage or armor-strip comparisons.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Leaving Immolation at full meter without accounting for its energy consumption.
- Assuming Fire Blast only damages enemies; it also knocks them back and strips armor.
- Treating the passive's unresolved per-enemy value as a known amount.
- Assuming Heat-affected enemies outside Affinity Range contribute to the passive.
